Hello, my name is Michelin Smith. Nice to meet you! Just a little about me, I am an HR Professional, Student Ministry Leader at Fellowship Christian Center Church, My parent's favorite child, but most importantly, I am an advocate for evolution for college students. 2008 was rough for me. Oh, you thought I was going to say 2020? 2008 prepared me for a completely different reality that 2020 couldn’t even touch the hem of. What does Tanesha Cobb say, gracefully broken? Ha! In 2008, I was 17 years old when I moved to Dallas, TX, to embark on a new journey after finishing high school. I would say I was a sheltered kid, as a matter of fact, my real-world experience only went as far as my mom and dad would allow it to go. Shout out to England & Keo, Arkansas, for raising me, and all the people who took part in the little bit of fun I could have. Forever I love E-town!

I went through a series of unfortunate events. I won’t bore you with the details on my “About Me” page, because we lit now! But, all and all, those are the memories that kept me grounded and focused on my goals. When I graduated college, it was a complete shock. I didn’t think this little country girl could accomplish such a thing. I wouldn’t say fear didn’t play a part, but I can say, knowing what, I didn’t want to be scared the life out of me. I rolled with the punches because I knew what was waiting on me on the other side of obedience. God had a purpose for me, and he didn’t take his sandal off my neck.

Creating something monumental for my community gives me a fire that I truly desire. I wish I had a me when I was growing up. My passion is to help mold and shape the next generation to be bold, fierce, and strong leaders. But first, we have to start with teaching them how to be financially stable, understanding their career path, and ultimately surviving life. And this is what Dear Life aims to do.
